We were very lucky that someone recommended Everden Rust funeral home to our family. They were extremely professional and caring and they took care of everything. They worked around our needs and always kept us informed of how things were progressing. Nothing appeared to be too much trouble for them in helping us. Jeff took care of almost all the necessary paperwork and went over it in great detail so we understood everything. There were no high pressure sales or pushes to upgrade. They did the most important thing necessary ......they listened to our requests. Our family can not thank them enough taking so much of the stress off our shoulders at this difficult time . We highly, highly recommend them . Thank you.

I want to commend Malachi Friedrichs who assisted me when my mother passed in August. Malachi was very helpful, patient, and respectful at all times. I wasn't remembering things very well right after Mom unexpectedly passed. I asked Malachi the same question more than once and he was always courteous and helpful. Malachi has made handling the details and process much, much easier for me.

Hi Aron and Pam. Thank you again for everything. It's fair to say that the last two weeks have been a couple of the toughest weeks of my life. You two have been awesome helping us get through it! Aron, being able to offer the 'one stop shop' with the church and catering, live streamed and all, was an absolute Godsend! Pam, you are so very comfortable to talk with. That first day sitting at Joan's and telling stories was the start of healing for me. It all came together so well yesterday. And thank you for the prayers. I wanted to share a tribute that was posted on dad's Facebook wall after the service yesterday.... ......It was with a really heavy heart that I attended the celebration of life today for my good friend, Douglas Stickney. Doug was a golf student of mine. Despite him having to wear braces on his calves and ankles to address his battle with muscular dystrophy, we made adjustments to conventional technique and he played some amazing golf - especially this past summer. Doug was a mentor to me with regard to construction projects. He spend at least a full week - every day - helping build my backyard storage shed and my indoor golf studio. I learned a ton from him and will always appreciate his friendly assistance. Doug loved to cook - just like I do. We shared many recipes over the years and both of us enjoyed seeing each other’s creations on Facebook. Doug was passionate about photography, fishing, hunting, hiking and just about everything else outdoors. Despite his braces - Doug hiked many miles in the local hills. I found his fortitude and strength to be incredibly inspiring. When Doug and I were hunting together recently - our one and only chance to get out - I greatly enjoyed the conversation while cruising around in the Suzuki. I was especially impressed with the stories of him and his incredible wife, Joan. Like me with Tracy, he found the perfect soul mate and it was so clear he loved her deeply. As I go through my 50th round of chemo this week (over 2 1/2 years) I’m well aware that none of us are immortal. As a result, we should all live our lives to the fullest, cherish the great people we meet along the way and do our best to be a positive influence in their lives. Doug embodied all of that. Although I wish I’d had more time with him, I feel good about the time we did get to spend together and I’m happy to hear I was a positive influence on him too. If you’ve got special people in your life that you sometimes feel you should contact more often - it’s always a good time to reach out. I know Joan is going to need support over the coming year. She’s a strong lady - but it has to be tough losing such a great man. To all of her friends that read this - let’s all keep her close, contact her regularly and spend time with her when we can. To the staff at Everden Rust and Willow Park Church - you put on the most amazing celebration of life I’ve ever attended. I heard the same sentiment from many others in the room. Thank you for helping Doug’s family through this tough time. Rest In Peace, my friend. I will miss you.

When I was told m husband Terry Quinn was in palliative care I knew the end was near. I called Everdenrust and spoke with Aron. Aron was very helpful and for the very short time Terry and I had together I didn’t have to worry about his service. Aron had helped me put everything together. When Terry did pass on August 2, 2019, we had 72 hours together to say our goodbyes. We were together at his passing and Everdenrust did the rest. Aron looked after all the arrangements that we had discussed right down to doing the required paperwork leaving me free to have time for my grief. I thank Everdenrust and Aron for the dignify and confidence they gave me.

Hello there. My name is Richard K Simpson. My father passed away on Feb 3 2019 . My sister Kelly and I were with him in the weeks leading up to his passing. He passed away quietly and with little pain. No one really knows what to do in these situations. There isn't any sort of training one can take to prepare for losing a close loved one. Upon his passing, Kelly and I were left numb and emotionally exhausted as well as being exceptionally sad. When we called your Kelowna office neither of us knew what to say or what to expect. Malachi answered our call and from word one immediately put us at ease. He was able to take us through the steps involved in a way that was gentle , compassionate and exceptionally professional. From the first call through to the delivery of our fathers remains, Malachi made us, and our father, feel important. The customer service we were given felt very personal and was well above and beyond the call. In an era of "press 4 for this" and " Press # for that" I can not stress enough the importance of authentic, human, compassionate customer relations. Thank you for your kindness, patience and extremely professional help. Richard and Kelly Simpson.

At a vulnerable time, it was a relief to deal with Jason at Everden Rust. His professionalism, gentleness and empathy made the entire process so much more manageable. He listened well, and advised expertly, guiding our family’s decisions without pushing. As well, his accessibility from email to live conversations helped immensely as decisions needed to be made in a timely manner. Thank you so much, Jason! Thank you Everden Rust team!
